Ghost story #1
Unexplained Darkness
(This is one that happened to me.)
I was working as a telephone installer in Toronto Ontario back in 1986 or so when I had a very different experience. I went to a house somewhere near Bayview and South Dr. I don't wish to give the exact address to avoid someone tripping on down to this house and potentially annoying the owners.
This house is of the very large variety built in the late 1800's to early 1900's. On this particular day I was also training a new technician who was with me while working in this house. The installation required us to drill a hole in the floor in order to run a wire for a new jack in the living room down to the basement where the main hook up point was located. With the hole drilled and ample wire fed through it my partner and I went down stairs to finish the job. Because the house was so big it was easy to get disoriented and it was no surprise we could not find the wire easily. We began a systematic search for the wire looking into rooms and cupboards. I found the wire curled up in a crawl space that had been added on to the basement at some point in the house's history. I turned around to tell my partner Larry that I had found the wire. Larry was just about to enter a room through an open door in the West wall when I saw him loose his balance and fall backwards. It was a very strange sight to witness because he was moving forward to enter the room, but he fell backwards. I asked him what he was doing? To which he replied something pushed him. I told him to stop screwing around that the house was freaky enough as it was. Larry dropped back to his knees and letting his flashlight fall to the basement floor. This looked serious. I began to head towards him but before I got there he got back up and left for the exit. I followed him outside and back to the trucks. Once there he began to vomit and shake. He was pale and clammy.
Now you must understand
something here, this guy had only been working for about two months so I didn't
figure he was fooling around and the violent convulsions made sure he wasn't just
pulling my leg. I told him to take it easy and that I would finish up. I went
back into the house and down to the basement. When I got back to the area where
all this mess began the temperature in the basemen was falling drastically to
the point where I could see my breath. Unusual since it was mid July. Accompanying
the frigid temperature was an awful stench that got worse the longer I was in
the basement. I quickly finished what I was doing picked up the dropped flashlight
and went to leave. Just before I left I shone the flashlight into the dark room
in the basement. The light illuminated nothing. Even when I shone it on the floor
and moved it into the darkness the light was not visible once it passed the door
to the room. At this point I was really getting freaked, if this were a movie
I would be killed right about now. I split and left the customer with phone books
and went back outside to Larry and the trucks. We didn't talk about it for a few
days and even now just typing this out gives me cold shivers.
Ghost Story # 2
The Girl in the Basement
This one happened to a guy I worked with back in the mid 1990's. Now to
know this person is to understand that unless one can see it or touch it then
it doesn't exist. Case and point being Ghosts and anything super natural. He
doesn't buy into all that sort of fluff. These words are as he told them to me.
It was about 8:00 PM in the summer and I was working at a home in the beaches,
(that's an area in South East Toronto close to Lake Ontario) I was working on
some cable troubles in the basement of this house when I had that feeling someone
was watching me. I was on a small step ladder so when I turned to see who was
there I looked down to see a small girl about 7 to 10 years old looking up at
me. She seemed to smile then turned and walked towards the back of the house.
I lost sight of her amongst all the boxes that were piled up in the basement. I wasn't there to personally verify this tale and this person can't remember
the house number or the street name. So in this case you have to take it with
some scepticism. But if you know this person like I do, you would be more likely
to believe this story that not.
This guy had asked that I keep his name out of the spotlight if I were to make
this story available to anyone and everyone who wanted to hear it. One average
workday morning he approached me to discuss a topic he thought I might find
interesting. The part I found most interesting he chose to speak to a vampire
about things he found hard to understand. (Is that not too funny?) He had often
heard me speak of ghosts and strange happenings that I had personally encountered
over the years. (Not many realize it's been over the last couple of hundred
years but that doesn't really matter.) What does matter here is that this person
is a most honourable and probably the most honest person I have met came to
me with a most fantastic tale of his encounter with a ghost.
I went to continue with my work and then thought; it might be better if she
wasn't down here alone with me like this. There were wires hanging down from
the ceiling and loose cable on the floor. So I got down and calling out to the
girl I told her she'd best go upstairs. When there was no answer I followed
her path through the boxes to the back of the basement. There was no sign of
her and there was no other way out of the basement other than the stairs which
were beside the ladder I was working on. I didn't think it was possible for
her to have slipped past me and made her way back upstairs in such sort time
without making any noise.
But I had no other explanation for her not being down there so I went back to
work and finished up in short order.
When I was finished and my tools loaded into my van I came back to discuss what
had been done in the way of repairs carried out with the customer. In this conversation
I mentioned the fact the house was in very nice condition especially the many
stained glass windows. (Most of the home in that area had seen many owners and
many upgrades usually doing away with the small ornate windows in the process.)
The owner, a woman in her 40's told me the house had belonged to her grandfather
and had come to her by way of a will. She was quite pleased it was to remain
in the family and had no intention of removing many of the homes original features.
Then she said something that made my hair stand up on end. She went on to tell
me the house did have a tragic past however. One of her grandfather's children
fell down the basement stairs and broke her neck when she was only 8 years old.
I felt very cold and very spooked by the entire experience. I never told her
what I thought I had seen in basement that night, and I don't know how to explain
what I saw. Even now when I think about that night I can still see her face
and I still feel very eerie.
I left the house in the beaches and drove home with a feeling of being very
tired.
Ghost Story #3
Ronald's Spookiest Ghost Story
I have uncontrolled psychic powers. and yes others experience haunting's when I go to there homes. I have seen ghosts since I was born and could move objects as well, so not all things flew in the house by themselves were spirits. I was about 12 when this attack happened to me. When growing up I saw many souls in the parlor and patio always saw glowing in the dark. The beginning of a haunting there were thundering bangs in the ceiling and smell of dead body's and many animals piled up for months. The smell is completely horrible. I live on Maui where half the island is on a cemetery as for the past of this house the original owners wont tell what happened here but there was only one man and women here in the 1900's. This house is almost 100 years old and hauntings were in my family before I was born. As for the property it was just a small house not very large but the lot is very huge so we extended the house 50 something feet longer so my hallway is 56 feet long and that's where we see most spirits.
I heard that when you have a home it doesn't matter large or small, if you have a door and window lined up
your in for a long ghostly welcome. We have a kitchen window , kitchen door , parlor door,
bathroom door and a bathroom window all lined up. The souls come and go through here we see them all the time.
The attacks happened once, after that we had a priest to bless the home and that ended the haunting for 10 years.
Then after that it got bad it almost caused a death in the home where a girl was possessed by a spirit and lay
dying right on the spot where a demon guards my room. They wont let me astral project. they hold me down
so I can't move and levitated me and spun me around in a circle.
There was a severe cry this morning that sounded like many cats fighting. Soon after that was over I felt a strong evil presence near my window. The cat fight I heard was the demons I have seen all my years. You always here body parts rolling, feet running and loud painful screams in my room.
Do you have a personal
ghost story that you'd like to tell? If so email
me with the details.
No one knows what is going on in my life. This is a secret I keep to my self
be cause no one believes me here. Yes the home is haunted but they don't believe what
I see, hear and understand. I've experienced things no one even knows about.
I thought of writing a book and making a movie of this house. Not even neighbors know what went on in these silent doors.
I learned really quick when I say something about the home they say are you are on medication.
